Boko Haram Insider Claims Al-Barnawi Is Son Of Executed Founder

Strong indication emerged yesterday that the new Boko Haram leader, Abu Musab al -Barnawi, is the son of the group’s founder, Mohammed Yusuf, according to a Boko Haram insider. The source told Cable Network news (CNN) that al-Barnawi, who is about 25 years - old was the second son of Yusuf, who founded the group in 2002 and was captured and executed after a clash with Nigerian security forces in 2009. The insider said there was a split in the ranks of the Boko Haram terror group three months ago, which led to Barnawi, known as Habib Yusuf within the group, to leave the Sambisa forest where the sect are believed to be hiding out. He re-emerged this week after he was introduced as the new leader of the terrorist sect in an interview in the ISIS’ magazine al -Naba. Two Nigerians held for drug peddling in India

The Central Crime Branch officials arrested two Nigerian nationals and recovered 105 grams of cocaine worth Rs 5.2 lakh from them. The accused Kenneth Jideofor (25) and Obumneme Victor (27) were caught red handed while they were waiting for their clients near Anandapura circle in K.R. Puram on Friday. The accused confessed that the duo had come to India on business visa and were overstaying in the city after their visa expired in March this year. The accused said that they sourced cocaine from their contacts and were selling it to college students and others for Rs 5,000 per gram. The accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act and remanded to judicial custody.

ISIS Announces Abu Musab Al-Barnawi As New Boko Haram Leader To Replace Shekau

The so-called Islamic State (IS) jihadist group has announced a new leader for its West African branch, popularly known as Boko Haram.  The latest issue of an IS magazine featured what it called its first interview with Abu Musab al-Barnawi, who replaces the eccentric Abubakar Shekau.  In a video clip released in January 2015, Mr al-Barnawi described himself as the spokesman for Boko Haram. This was before the Nigeria-based jihadist group pledged allegiance to IS.  Now IS says he has replaced Mr Shekau, who has not made a verified appearance in propaganda production since August 2015. Delhi police busts international drug cartel, four including a Tanzanian, Nigerian arrested

Delhi police arrested four persons including a Nigerian and Tanzanian in connection with an international drug cartel. Heroin worth Rs 16 crore were recovered from the accused. Delhi Police special cell has arrested four key members of an international narcotic drug cartel. The accused have been identified as Surender Singh, Balwinder Singh,  Micheal Chinedu Chukwudi from Nigeria and Catherine Leonard Mrope a Tanzanian National he presently residing at Sector 38, Gurgaon. About 4 kilograms of heroin were recovered from the drug suppliers. Several mobile handsets along with SIM cards used in drug trafficking have also been recovered. The police also recovered a car. Police said that the international value of recovered heroin is over Rs 16 crores. The accused were under watch for last few months.
