FCCPC Warns Loan Apps Against Harassing Nigerians

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has warned loan apps and businesses against harassing Nigerians over unpaid debts.

The commission urged consumers to report any intimidation tactics, including threats, social media shaming, or aggressive calls. It reassured the public of its commitment to protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair business practices.

FCCPC also cautioned loan operators that they will face penalties if they continue such misconduct. Nigerians experiencing harassment are encouraged to report through the FCCPC’s website, social media, or toll-free hotline for prompt action.
